Bargain: Fallout 3 50% off!

A week ago I bought Fallout 3 full price.
Loved the game, it’s been a long time since a game caught my attention this much… so here I am today, writing a post about this weekend’s promotion on Steam: Fallout 3 half off!

I don’t even have to say how pissed I am for not waiting another week to buy (even worse because I bought using Steam), but well, I guess it’s just my luck.
Anyways, it’s really worth it. Because if it wasn’t, I wouldn’t make this post… and in fact I’d probably be throwing my monitor through the window right now… 😛

I’ll be 100% sincere here: Internet Explorer is my LAST browser of choice, for several reasons.
BUT after I heard about this campaign, I ended up downloading the 8th installment of it.

Here’s Microsoft’s catch: For every full Internet Explorer 8 download made on the Browse for the Better website, 8 meals will be donated to Feeding America, an NGO that distribute those meals to people in need.
See, you only have to download it to get Microsoft to spend their money on donations.
The campaign goes from June 10th to August 8th… but don’t wait to download it later, just go and download it now otherwise you’ll forget. 😛
Bill Gates is well known for being the one guy that donated the biggest sums around for charity, there is an official Microsoft press release for the campaign, and they never said you actually have to use it to make your download valid… so I say, even if you don’t use Internet Explorer, go ahead and just download it. It’s for a good cause.

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu – Second Season! (NOT!)

Careful with this one, don’t get too excited yet… but it seems this time it’s true!

It seems the next issue of Newtype, a very famous and respected japanese magazine/ news source is announcing the second season of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu (The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi) to be released in April this year!

Careful though… Haruhi fans have long been tired of fake stories and news about this second season, but still, we can all have a little hope, can’t we? YES WE CAN!

Update: NO WE CAN’T. 😛 Apparently, website J-Cast News contacted Kadokawa Shoten’s public relations to ask about the ad you watched above… the only thing they said is that the ad is for the original Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu rerun, rebroadcasting on some select japanese TV stations.
This was obviously made either by some jackass who knows lots of people are waiting for the second season, so decided to once again deceive fans, or it was made by someone very stupid.
Either way, there you go… seems there’s not many publications we can trust anymore.
