Among all Vocaloid musics and adaptations, some has reached fame with dedicated artwork, figure and others.
I’ll be posting some of them here since it’s obligatory on otaku curriculum to know them… xD

The World is Mine is one of them! 😀
Pay attention to the lyrics! xD

Philip Glass – Metamorphosis Part Two

3 08 2009

Another minimalist piece by Philip Glass.

Simple yet powerful music.

You know those songs that for some reason are part of your life and will follow you forever?
The ones you always get back to on happy and sad days, like an old friend?
Well, this is one of those for me, and part of a series of posts I’m calling my permanent playlist.

Chihara Minori – Yuki, Muon, Madobe Nite (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu)

1 08 2009

Famous song among Otaku, from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu Character Song Vol.2 album.

Seyuus from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu anime made each a Character Album CD with songs sang by them.
Vol.2 is the one starring Nagato Yuki seyuu: Chihara Minori.
It’s my favorite album, being this song my favorite one.
Vocals: Chihara Minori
Lyrics: Hatake Aki
Music: Tayo Tomokazu
Arrangement: Uematsu Noriyasu

Satsuki Yukino (vocals) – Dear You ~Cry~ (Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni)

31 07 2009

Even though I started watching Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni and never finished it some years ago, this music still caught my attention:

There are tons of versions with different vocals by the seyuus of the anime, but this one I like the most.
Satsuki Yukino played the parts of Shion and Mion.
The info on the title might not be accurate, but it’s everything I could find out about it… dunno from which composer/band came the instrumentation from the original music, or if the music title is correct, but I’ll shure you’ll eventually find out if you need to. 😀

Inon Zur – Fallout 3 – Main Title

30 07 2009

A fairly recent add on my favorite musics list, Fallout 3‘s main title music that plays on the game menu:

I love the orchestral music mixed with those horns… nepalese horns maybe?
It fits the game perfectly.

Fight Ippatsu! Juuden chan!! Ending

30 07 2009

I never watched the, from what I understand, ecchi/fanservice filled anime Fight Ippatsu! Juuden chan!!, but I found this very interesting (non ecchi) meme about the episode ending.
The original one goes like this:

Catchy tune, cute animation, obvious memefying target! 😛 Even more considering the fanservice…

Trevor Rabin & Harry Gregson Williams – Enemy of the State Main Theme

29 07 2009

Another music I don’t really know the real title (if it has one).

From Enemy of the State movie soundtrack, it’s the main theme composed by Trevor Rabin and Harry Gregson Williams.

THC – Overfire (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

28 07 2009

Overfire is from Buffy the Vampire Slayer soundtrack…
It’s probably the music that defined to me, how awesome the music selection from the series was.

I wish I could find the exact scene (shown only in pics on this video)…
It was like a live show in a basement pub… Veruca, the band singer was also a werewolf… and played a huge part in one of the big plot changes in Buffy.
Oh yeah, I’m talking about the first music… the second one is called Dip, from the same band, from the same series.
