Images from the first AnimeXD day!
August, 8th, 2008 – Curitiba.
As you can see, the event is in a very… peculiar place.
It’s a place called “Memorial de Curitiba” (Curitiba Memorial), a preserved historical setting.
And it looks more like an ancient brick road that was later covered by tall walls.
It’s the first of the 3 event afternoons (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
Folks from parapara dance where warming themselves up.
Because the cold weather, plus wind and light rain were freezing.
No, it’s not Macarena. 😛
I think (or I expect) that because it was the first day, there were some empty stands… and I missed the food stands. My kingdom for a stand that sells hot food!
Folks from Itiban (a popular manga store in Curitiba) were already there, emptying some folks pockets.
See what I meant that it just looks like a brick road that was later covered by tall walls?
I said about “some folks pockets” because I’m not buying manga recently… but for the emptying of MY pocked, Ichigo-Toys (figures) were already there too.
And thus, nearly 15 bucks escaped my wallet so Nendoroid Mikuru-chan, which you can see on the next picture, could be mine.
If anyone else in the event was interested in her, YOU JUST LOST THE GAME!
Lucky me my only jacket had a hoodie… or else, I’d be forced to spend more to avoid the cold.
That place must be interesting in the summer… there’s even some sort of weird water fountain with the worst paint job ever. 😛 I’ll remember to take a pic of it tomorrow.
At last, I’ll be back there tomorrow. With tons more winter clothing, so I won’t be freezing all the time.
I only hope there’ll be some stands with warm food… yakissoba, udon, sukiyaki or something.
Because it’s too damn cold. Maybe I’ll make a green tea and take it there in a thermos or something. 😛
