Like I said on last Caturday, today I’ll leave lolcats alone for a while to talk about Longcat.

Longcat is loooong.

Longcat is one of the classic memes. It’s not a lolcat because it’s not an image macro… so it doesn’t have lolspeak text embeded in the image.

The joke is obvious. Longcat is looooong! It seems that the cat from the picture was already long, and it’s owner (i mean, slave) held him that way to take the pic…

The sentence: “Longcat is long” is also part of the meme.
Because it was this way people talked to make stuff clear… like: “Widedog is wide” or “Seriouscat is serious”.

Eventually, Longcat became the master of all Internet cats.
But no hero is worth it’s title without a great counterpart.
Some tried…

…but the real nemesis was yet to come.
