Churuya-tan

Today’s figure is Churuya-tan!

Churuya

Churuya-tan, Churuya-san or simply Churuya is a chibi version of Tsuruya, a minor character from anime Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu.

Churuya-tan doesn’t exist on the anime.

I’m still not shure if she was officially made a spin-off from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, or if she’s just a doujinshi (fanmade) character… but the fact is that the author used a comic format known as 4koma (like a comic strip, only vertical and with 4 panels). Author is known as Utsura Uraraka.

Churuya

Churuya-tan has some catch phrases similar to Tsuruya-san’s (“~nyoro” and “megas”), and she loves smoked cheese. But something always goes wrong for her.

Back to the figure, unfortunately there are no official versions… they are all unique figures made by fans. But I’ll post some more just to tease you…

JFYI, I already made a post about another character from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu… Nagato Yuki.
For those who don’t know the anime and are curious to watch it, I suggest reading this post.
