Interesting game that came out recently in Japan for the Nintendo DS:
Not as polemic as the release of Osouji Sentai Clean Keeper for the Wii, this game doesn’t look like an eroge… but has a little *fanservice here and there.
Maybe a sign that Nintendo is a little more liberal in the land of the rising sun?
Mugen no Frontier: Super Robot Taisen (Endless Frontier: Super Robot Wars) is a turn-based role playing game… in other words, much like most J-RPGs. I was impressed with the voice acting, and the fact that the battle system makes it look like you’re playing a fighting game.
For fans: Besides the original characters from the game, they brought some characters from other franchises… like KOS-MOS from Xenosaga.

*uhh…. for those who don’t know what fanservice is, one could say that it’s a content that’s not explicitly pornographic or erotic, but that has some “unintentional” sexual undertone… like a nude scene that “wasn’t meant to happen”, panties flashing “by accident” or even (case of this game), tight clothing with bouncing… hmmm… eyes action, if you get my drift.
That’s why it’s called fanservice… it’s a “free gift for the fans”.
