Exelinya Burst (PC)

6 07 2009

Exelinya Bust is yet another japanese shooter with something different.
The cute characters is much like other shooters, but this time you don’t shoot magical beams or bullets…

You have to use a gappling hook to pick enemies(?) and throw them against each other causing multiple explosions and stuff! :D
Developed by D.K, Omega and Kenmo.
Translation by Dong.
You can get the english version at Dong’s translation blog EngRish Games Exelinya Burst page!

Litter Kwitter & CatGenie

6 07 2009

This one is for cat owners that are tired of having to clean litter boxes.
Be advised though, the video has lots of cat pooping and stuff, so you might not want to watch it while eating or something. :P

Interesting training system to make your cat use the toilet… the environment and people visiting your home will be thankful.
And then, you just have to play some Parry Gripp music to your cat. :P

Team Fortress 2 – The Tabletop RPG

5 07 2009

Here’s an interesting take on Team Fortress 2: A Tabletop RPG version!

Heavy Weapons Guy Character Sheet

Heavy Weapons Guy Character Sheet

If you don’t get it, you’re probably not old enough, not nerd enough, not an RPG fan… :P
Story goes like this: Deadshot and cousing were “trapped” at their grandmother’s house without Internet or a TV to pass some time.
They were itching to play some Team Fortress 2, so they tried an “alternate” way: To make an RPG based on the game to play.
It came out so good they decided to create an unofficial RPG with all the material required.
So, they created and are updating little by little The Team Fortress 2 RPG blog with rulesets, characters sheets, and everything else. Neat!
Reminds me of a Marvel Superheroes based RPG I made 10+ years ago… it was nothing this fancy, but since I didn’t have RPG material to play with Marvel characters…

Hummingbird Robot

5 07 2009

More precisely “AeroVironment Flapping-Wing Nano-UAV”, it’s a DARPA (Pentagon) project for a small robotic hmmingbird made to serve as spy bots.

It has evolved a lot, but still can only fly for about 20 seconds.
Only a matter of time though… which is kinda scary if our future ends up being some sort of 1984-esque dystopic one.
Small hummingbird is watching you. :P

Megaman Costume Kid

5 07 2009

Luckly, having a father who was a nerd gamer wasn’t an option in my generation… well, at least not in the same sense kids can have today.
Here’s one (un)lucky kid who just happens to have a true Megaman fanboy as his father:

Oooh, I imagine when this kids gets older… emotional scars, video used as bribery… “If you don’t behave yourself, I’ll show all your friends your PEW PEW Megaman video!” xD
In a more optimistic view, maybe in the future we’ll have real live blasters so what this kid is doing is actually an early training… maybe not. :P
