This isn’t news, but I bet lots of people didn’t hear about this one yet…
Sal9000 is the nickname of a japanese guy who married Nene Anegasaki last month.
His wedding was broadcasted live on japanese video sharing website NicoNico Douga.

Why am I posting something like this, you ask?
You see, everything would be completely normal, if it wasn’t for the fact that Nene Anegasaki is actually a character from the dating sim game Love Plus, for Nintendo DS.

I can’t say this is a first, because I heard of people… and it wasn’t in Japan if I’m not mistaken… wanting to marry consoles, naming sons after their favorite gaming systems and other stuff.
But I guess it’s still weird to come down to a full ceremony with a game character, hopefully.

Yep. The first thing that passed my mind was the guy all alone with a priest and his DS… but it seems not only tons of people where there in the ceremony, he also had DJs and tons of awesome gadgets for the party too! o_O
Not to mention lots of people watched the whole thing live!
First step for the future of relatioships between virtual characters and robots with humans and/or the beginning of the end of the human race?
I have a hard time only thinking about it.
