Lady Gaga, Jojo, Rihanna, Fergie and Akon – Forró Style

By XSportSeeker, 12/03/2009 14:18

Forró is a music style from northeastern Brazilian states.
It’s a traditional style commonly related to smaller rural (oftenly poor) towns, and was made basically for dancing.
Think cultural festivals made from time to time where people gather together on a dance floor in the open.
It’s very different from our world famous Carnaval, since it happens in winter time.
Also related to older people and culture, since the music style is slowly dying due to the globalization process.

BUT Brazil still has tons of rural towns and areas, and artists that are adapting to modern styles.
Here we have bits of musics from Lady Gaga, Jojo, Rihanna, Fergie and Akon all properly converted to Forró style. xD
I’m not a fan of the genre, as I grew up in a southeastern state, but still it’s interesting to see what happens to those songs after the convertion.
The video was made by YouTube user BrunodeLooka, though I’m not shure he’s the one who made the convertions (probably not).
You can ignore the portuguese narration… it’s mostly a joke about how everyone has a irritating neighbor who plays this sort of music. :P

it is a bit sad that this beautiful and talented Rihanna would fall in love with an a-hole like chris brown.:*

Rihanna is my idol because she is a great singer. She is also a very sexy woman and she somewhat have that exotic beauty that men loves.
