Coming up soon from Pixeltruss Games, a very interesting platformer called Ripple Dot Zero.

Quoting Ripple Dot Zero official blog entry, it was made by “extracting the souls of fallen heroes like Sonic The Hedgehog, Strider, Alien Soldier, Ristar and Gunstar Heroes”. A bold statement which sounds pretty convincing when you pay close attention to the music on the trailer!

The problem: Capturing data from mouse neurons while it’s in movement on mazes.
Solution: VIRTUAL REALITY!

Created by researchers at Princeton University, this virtual reality maze allows for mice to navigate while standing still, making it easier to study their brain while so.
This must not be very confortable for them, but I wonder if something like that could be upscaled to support gaming…
The answer is probably yes, as I’ve seen similar stuff, only it’s kind of an expensive thing to do.
