Freaking hard, freaking famous…

Though I dunno if it’s either the SNES or the N64 version that is more famous. The only one I know is the SNES version, so…
Star Fox was one of the first 3D polygon game (with the Super FX chip) featuring the spacecrafts you see that had anthropomorphic animal pilots.
I played a lot, but never got very far… not only the game was hard, I pretty much sucked (and still suck) at racing/obstacle course games.
I won’t get in details with character names and stuff, you can get that at Wikipedia… but Fox, the main character is always showing up here and there via memes, parodies and tribute.
Oh yeah, prolly because I couldn’t get past the very first few levels, I got the Corneria, the first stage, music stuck in my head.
In a good way though… nostalgic feeling.

Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) won the Wall Street Journal 2009 Technology Innovation Awards with Flexpeaker, this incredible paper thin flexible speaker technology.

Seems it’s like a bunck of very small and thin speakers tied together!
How about that? Imagine having something like that as your wallpaper (the real type).
The only problem, as expected, seems to be low frequencies… so you still need the bulkiest part of a sound setup: Subwoofers.
But still pretty nice! Besides, your cat wouldn’t be glad if you removed his subwoofer….

So, while we are nervously waiting the official Tekken movie, here’s a very interesting fanmade Tekken trailer:

Made by Quantumoptic Productions, it was originally meant for a G4 video game trailer contest… but they didn’t make it on time, so ended up releasing it on the tubes. Pretty great for a fanmade video!

When entering a building on fire, one of the worst problems for firefighters is not knowing what kind of situation they’ll find in there.
Sometimes they end up not being able to enter and help due to that.

But Hoya, a South Korean firm, is developing a remote controlled robot to help firefighters not only visualize the situation, but also have access to tight spaces and even give minor fires a cool down.
