Going back to… 1984 now, Hokuto no Ken or Fist of the North Star started airing on TV an year after being released on manga.
Kinda rare to find similar animes nowadays, specially with huge muscular men as protagonists…

But anyways, I still find it lots of fun.
Hokuto no Ken is also very known on the Internet because it’s the source of memes like:
- “You are already dead”
- “Omae wa mo shindeiru”
- ATATATATATATATATATA

It’s basically a post apocalyptic fiction where the main protagonist, Kenshiro (heavily based on Bruce Lee) is alone the master of a martial art known as Hokuto Shinken which has 2000 years and is based on pin point attacks of pressure points (the same used for acupuncture).

Mainly used for death with exploding heads and body parts, but it’s also used to cure and control.
