Prototype Toshiba Cellphone with Fuel Cell
Imagine having a cellphone with a battery that lasts 320 hours. And that it could also be recharged in seconds.
There’s a working prototype for that already, a cellphone that uses methanol as power source!
It’s still a prototype and long way to becoming a commercial product, and it’s still kinda big if you consider the whole cellphone is smaller than the battery itself… but the technology looks promising.
It’s specially interesting if you think they could make a small portable battery recharger using the same idea.
Could solve all your battery dying problems with a simple device… and it’d be also interesting to NOT have a methanol filled brick connected right next to stuff you put on your pocket, hold close to your ear, or keep on your lap.
