Florent Porta – Canon 7D Test Videos
So, I’m a regular visitor to AkihabaraNews mainly for the videos about Japan and for Photography and Camera related content.
For my surprize, Daimaou managed to get two very awesome test videos from his friend Florent Porta, which I’m posting here.
This first one is entitled simply “Canon 7D test in Lyon”
And here’s “Le Sandwich”:
Now, I’m already an admited fan of Canon 5D Mark II videos.
But I have to say that I appreciate these videos more for the videographer’s creativity than for the quality itself.
I mean, they really are very impressive in a technical point of view, but I dunno if I really could tell the difference between a video shot with Canon 5D Mark II and the new Canon 7D.
I do know that one main difference between both is that Canon 7D can shoot HD movies with either 24fps or 30fps, while Canon 5D Mark II can only shoot in 30fps mode. The translation of this is that Canon 7D can shoot “film format” movies, since films also uses 24fps.
If you’re searching for more info about the camera, check Gizmodo’s post entitled “Canon 7D DSLR First Hands On: 18 Megapixels, 24FPS Full HD Video for $1900″
Anyways, very awesome videos by Porta.
