Em comemoração do dia do “Talk Like a Pirate” (Fale Como um Pirata), a TellTale Games esta distribuindo o jogo Tales of Monkey Island gratuitamente no website official!

Infelizmente, você provavelmente já perdeu… a promoção é só hoje, e estou publicando o post bem tarde… esqueci completamente disso até ler um e-mail que um colega me mandou agora pouco.
Mas pelo menos parece que vai ter uma outra promoção de descontos de 50% no Steam, D2D e no iPhone para o remake de Secret of Monkey Island, dia 21! Fiquem atentos!

Celebrating the Talk Like a Pirate day, TellTale games is giving up the Tales of Monkey Island free on it’s official website!

Unfortunately, you probably missed it… the deal is for today only, and I’m publishing this pretty late… completely forgot about it ’till I received an e-mail from a friend just now.
But at least it seems there will be a 50% off deal on Steam, D2D and iPhone for the remake of Secret of Monkey Island on the 21st!

Lucidity is a LucasArts platformer in which you have to guide the main character, Sofi, in the world of her dreams…

For that, you have to use some sort of spells that gives you tools like leaders, platforms and other stuff.
I’m not much a fan of games you have to help rather than control the game characters, but this one looks pretty interesting…

A princípio, não estava muito afim de usar mais um serviço de compras de jogos… visto que o Steam da Valve já queimava uma boa parte do meu dinheiro.
Mas algumt empo atrás, acabei tendo que usar o serviço para comprar City Rain, e o processo foi bem tranquilo.
Mas de qualquer forma, nada era comparável com as promoções malucas de fim de semana do Steam… pelo menos até agora:

O Direct2Drive está com umas promoções muito boas por ocasião do 5o. aniversário.
Os jogos não são exatamente os últimos lançamentos, mas você consegue coisas muito boas por apenas 5 dólares… tipo Bioshock, Stalker, Saints Row 2 e outros.
Por 5 semanas, toda segunda-feira vão ser anunciados mais alguns títulos com esse preço, então acho que vale a pena dar uma conferida de tempos em tempos!

At first, I wasn’t very willing to enter in yet another online game shopping service… as Valve’s Steam service sucks enough of my money.
But sometime ago I ended up having to use Direct 2 Drive to buy City Rain, and the process was pretty easy.
Still, nothing quite compares to the crazy deals from Steam… at least ’till now:

Direct2Drive is on a 5 year anniversary deal frenzy.
The games are not exactly the latest releases, but you get pretty good stuff for 5 bucks only, like Bioshock, Stalker, Saints Row 2 and others.
For 5 weeks on every monday they’ll release more titles for 5 bucks, so it’s worth taking a look every now and then!

At first I thought it was some sort of joke, but then I realized it wasn’t.

Jurgen Bey’s idea is to make a slow moving vehicle that could also work as a cubicle, or office.
And really, I don’t think the MAIN idea is bad.
It really would be nice to not worry about the driving part and do other things (even working) while commuting.
But apart from that main idea, just about everything else is wrong.

Also, that main idea is already ready and partially working… you just have to expand the rail system.
It’s the London Heathrow Airport Driverless Taxi System.

But maybe I didn’t understand it. Judging from past designs, he looks more like a guy who do “artsy” designs than real practical stuff.
