I’m always making posts with TimeLapse videos here on XSpBlog, but this time it’ll be a bit different.
PhotoLapse is a free software that enables you to CREATE your own TimeLapse videos!
Like this one:

Of course you still need proper equipment and skills to produce an adequate series of photos for the time lapse video, but joining them all together to compose a video can be kinda hard of expensive (if you intend to use professional software).
Which makes PhotoLapse awesome for enthusiasts!
Get it on the official PhotoLapse page!

After watching this new japanese Nissin ad, I had to make one even though it’s a really hot day:

I was kinda disappointed with the results though.

Indie platformer by Sweden based development studio TimeTrap, Emberwind is set for release later this year:

Looks pretty interesting! The game uses a proprietary game engine called Odin, developed by the studio!
You can check the progress update at the official Emberwind website!

OliverW92 is the author of this DIY project turning a couple of hard drives into speakers!

Looks weird and all, but they really work… reminds me of a very cool videoclip using computer parts as instruments to play Radiohead’s NUDE.
If you wish to try doing your own HDD Speakers, a detailed step by step project info written by OliverW92 is available at Overclock.net forums.

If Battletoads were to be real or to get a movie, it’d kinda look like this:

Realistic Battletoads
And maybe they’d pair up with some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles… maybe not.
If anyone knows the original author of the image, please send a comment so I can give the proper credits to him!
Yeah, I know this is old news, but I only got to watch trailers and stuff now…
So here’s Scribblenauts, the one DS game that can ressurect my Nintendo DS now:

And I shall write “Ressurect DS”, and henceforth my DS shall be ressurected!

A fan made episode where Speed Racer goes batshit insane!

Unfortunately, I can picture some drivers going the same way…

As I said on the Dragon Quest post, long time ago I was a real fan of console RPGs, but nowadays I don’t have enough patience or time to deal with them. My taste switched to more fast paced and casual games. (as in games I can play just a bit without having to follow a story up)
But here’s one game that just might break this habit and even force me to buy a current gen console:

3D Dot Game Heroes is an upcoming japanese game for the Playstation 3.
And as you can see from the clip, it’s an obvious tribute to several NES RPG games… like Dragon Quest and the first Legend of Zelda. Also, the best 8-bit pixelated graphics conversion to 3D I’ve ever seen… xD
I don’t know if this game will do much for new kids, but for us old kids it’s FREAKING AWESOME!!!
Problem is if this will ever be localized… I’m even kinda hoping it isn’t, because if so, I’ll have to shell out tons of money just to buy it. T_T
