This Rude Goldberg machine that uses RFID is quite an interesting take on the idea…

Though it always seemed to me that one of the principles of Rude Goldberg machines was the lack of technology and the physical contact between elements.
It’s still pretty cool, though nothing quite beats Pythagora Switch!
