I’ve been meaning to make a post about Super Robot Color Comic for sometime now…

…but it’s so damn hard to find content about it.

For starters, let me begin with a BIG WARNING: Super Robot Color Comic is NOT for minors as it has explicit content, including violence and ecchi (read erotic), even though most stories don’t.

Super Robot Color Comic is something of a rarity… it’s a book sized full color manga collection with high quality glossy paper created by famous artist Range Murata.

It features several different stories from several different, mostly very famous and prized, artists.
Each with it’s own unique artstyle.

Super Robot Color Comic played a big part on my admiration for japanese artists, artstyle and storytelling.
The stories themes range from post apocalyptic scenarios, to fairy tales, comedy, action and drama… and all things in between.

Unfortunately, quality does not come cheap, so it’s expensive when compared to regular manga.
It’s very famous in Japan, having over 10 volumes filled with incredible stories and graphics.
But for some reason (I’m guessing the fact that it’s expensive and has adult content), it didn’t pick up on this side of the planet, and after exchanging distributions, the series has stopped on the 5th book.

It’s still an invaluable item for any manga and artbook collector.
There are some few “fixed” artists whose stories goes on for some volumes, but for the most part it keeps an artist rotation, so you get several complete short stories on each book..

Even though it is kinda expensive, it’s still the best value for money among my manga/artbook collection.
I really don’t know why it’s so unknown… kinda sad because I couldn’t find more stuff to share.
I know I didn’t do much on describing it’s content, but you really have to see it for yourself…

Tried hard to find parts of the water colored Miggy story, Yug’s extremely cute HemoHemo, and the hillarious Suzume-Robo from Sabe but couldn’t find it… those three alone would be worth your money, but there’s lots more, LOTS LOTS more… like 15+ stories on every book.
If you’re able to, buy the first volume to see it for yourself, get from some library, borrow from some friend, go read it in a bookstore or something… I’m shure you won’t regret!
