Driverless Taxi System – London Heathrow Airport

Kinda looks like a giant toaster, but actually, it’s a driverless taxi system which can carry 4 people at a time.

It’s the ULTra (Urban Light Transit) PRT (Personal Rapid Transit) that’s been in development for over a decade.
London Heathrow Airport just opened the first fully functional system.


At first, the transport is to be used from the Airport to parking lots.
If everything goes as planned, the project aims to expand the system to cover a whole lot more.

Something out of sci-fi movies!
Can you imagine an entire city covered by advanced versions of this?
