20th Century Boys is a famous prized manga (by the same author from Monster) which got received live action movie adaptation spawning 3 movies that was just officially released in US by Viz Media.

I heard lots about the manga, but never had the chance to read it… but the story sounds pretty awesome!
It’s a sci-fi story with themes like cults, politics and a dystopic future!

Starts almost at the turn of the century (20th century), but it goes back with a story of 3 kids that when were still young, wrote a “Book of Prophecy”, which predicted disastrous events that would start to happen at the beginning of the 20th century.

Color me interested! Unfortunately, live-action movies, specially when it involves special effects been disappointing me lately (even though I watched some I liked in the past)… manga or anime version would be nicer.
But there’s no anime version yet, and the manga title isn’t out on Brazil yet… I’d like to import them, but it’s a price I can’t pay right now… :/

Gah! I’m itching for a good dystopic story ever since I stopped playing Fallout 3… T_T
