Starting this new series of Manga recommendations, similar to the Anime Discussion series but with a more loose theme.

And I thought it’d be proper to start with one of my favorite ones, Yotsuba&!

By Kiyohiko Azuma, the same author from Azumanga Daioh, Yotsuba if a everyday-life comedy manga centered on the antics of Yotsuba Koiwai.

The original japanese title is Yotsubato!, correctly translated to Yotsuba&!, because the manga has several chapters with titles involving Yotsuba and *something else*.

The story starts with Yotsuba and her single father moving to a big city.
Yotsuba is a young, innocent and naive girl that has an adventurous spirit, lots of imagination, and neverending curiosity about the stuff that surrounds her.

For those who already know Azumanga Daioh, think Yotsuba as a mix of Chiyo-chan’s age and naiveness, with Osaka style curiosity and Tomo-chan’s in-your-face personality. xD

I REALLY REALLY recommend it for all ages… probably my number one recommendation for all manga fans, wannabe fans and non-fans.

Unfortunately, in Brazil we still don’t have a localized version, so what I did was pay huge ammounts of money (with shipping and currency exchange rates) and bought all the released volumes (5) ’till now from Amazon.

And it was worth every penny…
This is not plain marketing, I’m really recommenting it. If you’re already an Amazon costumer or don’t bother buying it there, the links are there. But no problems if you want to get from somewhere else too… xD
