And to think we once thought that the Earth was flat and that we’d fall off of it if we got too far from the coast huh?

Google Earth is adding new features like watching the botton of the ocean and looking through a historic of photos… you could use that to see, for instance, how where things where you live before your house was built (given that there are photos previous to that).
I’m imagining one day, after Google already took over the world, we’ll have “Google Universe” and you’ll be able to see your granchildren’s home blueprints in Mars or something.

Very nice video showing several aspects of cosplaying and cosplayers.

Was made as a project for film class by a DannyChoo.com user along with his classmates.
Awesome quality IMO… does a better job than most news broadcasts I’ve seen around.
More about it at ClearTranquil’s blog.

Another interesting toy from ThinkGeek

Well, if you like playing with robotic arms that will give you 20x more work to do simple tasks, that is.

Can you imagine historic war scenarios re-enacted by… food?
Well, Stefan Nadelman can!

I bet you could recognize some of them, but if you want the full list and more info, check the Food Fight official website!
Notice Stefan makes it clear that this is an American-centered view of the events, so don’t take this too seriously…
Though I think this is a much more efficient way of making people learn about those wars, the video has no intention of making an accurate representation of the historic events.

Ok, not long ago I wrote about the tacky Microsoft Songsmith ad, and how it would eventually get used for something interesting.
Few days ago I thought that it finally got the right usage mixing it with charts related to the current global economy crisis, which was kinda fun.
But now, it seems they finally got it!

Just for starters, let me rickroll all of you with this remixed version of Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give you up!

Perfect Balance is a neat little game in which you have to balance objects with different shapes in a given platform to proceed to the next level… similar to Thumbledrop (but backwards), another game I posted about sometime ago.

Don’t blame me for that title, it’s from the creators of this interesting modified camping trailer.
It’s for sale in Japan, and has an interesting story to it.

Three friends decided to get together for a one year long trip in Japan… one of my dreams (seriously).
But to do so, they needed some space to live and sleep during the trip in which they would be traveling around Japan.
So they ended up spending 2 years building this automated system to transform a truck practially into a house.
On the “normal” truck space, they have kitchen, bath area, and some living space… the transforming part comes on the second “floor”, where they have enough space to sleep.
Awesome, isn’t it? But I still think the hardest part is to find true friends that are compatible enough to share such a space without fighting all the time.. xD
