Here are some news I’d never expect to happen:

Microsoft Japan made a partnership with Nico Nico Douga to work out a Messenger integration.
Seems that the plan is to make Nico Nico Douga videos playable in Messenger… which is just awesome!
Though I don’t know if this will ever reach us, non-japanese people. T_T

Casio developed an interesting technology that is coming with the new Exilim line of digital cameras:

Basically, it replaces green screen techniques with a software that is able to recognize the background (or the static) portion of a video, “crop” a person off it, and paste it to another photo.
As I see it, doesn’t require any special hardware… it’s just an interesting software approach to create the effect.

No, it’s not gibberish… Mejlbystenen is the name of a thousand year runic stone from Denmark.

Technology was added in a museum display to tell the story that’s written on the stone, actually a tombstone, which also let’s the visitors interact with it.

An interesting way to get more people to go and pay attention to the museum display.

It’s like Guitar Hero, but with a real guitar that allows you to actually learn to play a REAL GUITAR!

Awesome huh? Very ingenious interface… simple, yet I would never have thought of that.
There’s already a real keyboard/piano game (I’ll write about it soon), now we have a real guitar one… and I guess a real drums one isn’t really hard to do (only people will have to buy at least a decent electronic drum kit, which isn’t very cheap).
