No final do ano passado encontrei um restaurante japonês aqui onde moro (Curitiba) que servia o tradicional Teishoku, da culinária japonesa… que são “kits de comida” que são compostos de vários itens para formar uma refeição completa.

Desculpem a foto horrível, mas o restaurante estava lotado, e acabamos pegando uma mesa ao lado da cozinha que estava num local mal iluminado… e eu uso uma câmera de celular, então…
Mas de qualquer forma, a refeição estava boa. O frango a milanesa tava meio queimado, mas o gosto estava bom.
Já provei Teishoku mais saborosos de outras cidades brasileiras… não que este aqui estivesse ruim, só não estava ótimo.

É incomum no Brasil, apesar de ser muito comum no Japão… por aqui, quando se fala “restaurante japonês”, normalmente é sushi, sashimi ou yakissoba.

Já provou algum teishoku? Gostou?

Late last year I found a japanese restaurant here where I live (Curitiba-Brazil) that serves traditional japanese Teishoku… which are “meal kits” that has different stuff to compose a complete meal.

Sorry for the bad pic… the restaurant was full, we got this table next to the kitchen which was in a badly lighted area… and I use a cellphone cam, so…

But anyways, the meal was very nice. Chicken didn’t look so great but it tasted ok.
I had better teishokus in other brazilian cities, but this one wasn’t bad… just not great.

It’s unusual in Brazil, though very common in Japan… in Brazil when you say “japanese restaurant” it’s usually sushi, sashimi or yakissoba.

Amanda, the lovely voice on the video, only watched some bits and pieces of the Star Wars Trilogy.
Still, she had a basic idea of what it was about.

This video is a mix of her trying to tell the story on the three movies, mixed with awesome animation by Nicoloski.
Pretty accurate huh? Specially the part about Chewbacca being a oversized Ewok. xD
