If you’re old enough to be reading this, you’re probably old enough to remember the Tamagotchi fever.
Yeah you do… those things were such a plague, such a hype, that kids in Japan and eventually in the whole world would do just about anything to get one.
And I don’t mean this in a good way.

But nevermind the past, they are back!
Can’t tell if they are going to be as sucessful as the last time… but teachers and parents shure hope they won’t. Parents specially, since it’s expected to cost 50 bucks!

For those who don’t remember, it’s basically a virtual pet that you have to feed, play with, and give lots of attention so it doesn’t get sad or worst case scenario, dies.
And it was a huge success for people selling it, and a huge problem for parents who had to buy them, and couldn’t get then, which led to children getting it from suspicious people, and you all know where this ends up.
Also, teachers had huge headaches because kids would play with their Tamagotchis during class.
But anyways, we’ll see how sucessful it will get. Since today we have cellphones, portable gaming, and tons of other gadgets and distractions… maybe kids won’t get too interested in it this time.
But I’m willing to bet it will be a huge sucess again.

You’ve been saying that this is a new comeback of the tamagotchi toys…you’re wrong. They’ve been around for years, the comeback was about 6 years ago with the tamagotchi plus, and more versions have been released since then.
