GameTrailers released yet another list… this time with the top 10 hardest games of all times.

But do you agree with it?

Probably no… because of course, each gamer had it’s own experience in gaming.
And it’s quite probable that you didn’t play all games on the list.

But don’t be angry at GameTrailers… after all, all of their lists is of course, their own opinion.
They also didn’t play all games.

Since I don’t want to just repeat what most blogs are doing, I’m also quoting some games I played as a kid that I still remember being quite hard. Of course, RPG, adventure, puzzle, strategy and other games that were MADE to take a long time to complete can’t be included.

Anyways, see if you recognize some (WARNING: all videos contains spoilers):

NES Dragon’s Lair

Some crazy person was able to finish it (I didn’t)

Megaman 3 (Finished… awesome ending)

Wizards and Warriors 2: Ironsword (Finished… almost threw a party at home)

Astyanax (Finished… after playing a weekend non-stop)

Chip ‘n Dale – Rescue Rangers (Finished… was very very hard)

Sonic the Hedgehog (Finished… last stage was a bitch)

(yeah, I know some people will say this one was easy and all… but I still think it was kinda hard)

Friday the 13th (Got very far… incredibly hard)

Toe Jam & Earl (Yes, me and a friend of mine completed the ship)

There are probably more, but I think it’s enough.
So, what was my criteria?
It goes something like this: When I can instantly remember the music of the game only from hearing about it, it’s probably because I spent hours and hours and maybe days and weeks playing it.
Which, back then, almost always meant the game was excruciantingly hard.
