Been some time I wanted to research some more and write about this game…

…and with the recent announcement that the PSP will also get a version, I decided to write the post.

Like I said before, all new gen consoles has something that caught my attention.
XBox 360 case, one of the games was The Idolm@ster!

Truth is though, I still don’t fully understand the gameplay.
It seems Idolm@ster is a rhythm game (like DDR, Guitar Hero and Parappa the Rapper)… you have to hit the right buttons at the right time to win.

Was a hit in Japan (game is Japan only… probably the reason why few people heard about it around these parts), already has an OVA (anime, which don’t follow the same storyline) and character figures.

I though I was only gonna play the game when I found someone with an XBox 360 crazy enough to import the game… but now with the PSP version… high expectations.

The game has something to do with the japanese otaku culture, with pop idols and groups.
Maybe I’ll make a post about it in the future to explain in detail.
