Binchou-tan
Today’s figure is Binchou-tan.
About the anime… hmmmm.. how can I put this?
It’s rather different. And probably not many people will like it, because it’s veeeery sloooow paced (makes you sleepy, I must admit).
Binchou-tan is a little girl, apparently orphan, who lives by herself in the middle of a forest, a very modest life.
Each episode shows a day in her life. And it seems the plot happens in historical Japan, before WW2.
It has a very kawaii style, with chibi characters.
Character’s name is a word play… because in japanese, binchoutan means charcoal. And the character, without further explanation, carries a lump of charcoal around on her head (seems she is a mascot character).
Her name is Binchou-tan. The “-tan” in the end it a corruption of “-chan”, which is added to little girls’ name usually by close friends.
